AGAIN......
why has time gone by without writing a post... things have been busy and with the start if this new year... things are still getting better... artistically anyways.
Last year went well.... did my first LA directing premiere of a full run... at Casa 0101 with "Food for the Dead" and having Josefina there all the time was a blessing and a nightmare all at the same time. I found myself trying to impress her (a big mistake on my part) but thanks to Miguel and my cast, they always brought me back to the reason I direct... nevertheless, the show was amazingly received and people actually want to see more from me... Mr Huerta told me "You're an up and coming director... own it"! I think I shall Mr. Huerta.
Old friends have come back into my life in a big way... Jason B... we had such a bad fall out that we didn't talk for many years. And out of no where last year he found me on facebook and starting talking to me again. I am so happy that he is back in my life... having a absurdest playwright want to hear my opinion about his new plays he is writing... such fun!
NEW UPDATES:
I will be directing a spoken word play by Jose Casas "somebodys children"... I am super excited about this production and it will be done at Katella High School... I have always wanted to do a play with students mixed with professional actors... this is going to be something so amazing!!!!!!
I hope this year comes with great success for my directing... have Jorge Huerta as my mentor (super lucky).... and plays and plays to read, create... Izzy's One Person show... i am super excited about that... familia, amigos and everything in between.... this year is going to be amazing and new adventures... trying out for musicals, acting in films and taking every challenge that comes my way!!!
Adventures... I am really for you... let's get this started!!!
